Bringing Warmth and Hope to Wakrang Villager, 2022

Nepal’s diverse climate brings many challenges, especially in rural areas like Wakrang, a village in Chitwan where winters can be harsh and unforgiving. Each year, hundreds of people across the country lose their lives due to cold, largely because of a lack of warm clothing and blankets.

In 2022, Tsilentp stepped in to help by distributing over 200 thick woollen blankets to families in Wakrang. This effort was part of a larger initiative by several organizations working tirelessly to protect vulnerable communities during the cold season.

The impact was immediate and deeply felt. The villagers expressed heartfelt gratitude, sharing how much the blankets meant to them as a source of warmth and comfort through the long winter nights. For Tsilentp, this mission was truly worth every moment  knowing that these blankets brought not just physical warmth, but hope and care to those who needed it most.
